Italian-Danish Soprano Venicia Sandria Rasmussen has been praised by the Frankfurter Bergsträsser Anzeiger „she sings with pure emotion..with lovely sounding emphasis and bright colors in the warm midrange.“
In the 2019/2020 season she debutes the role of Rusálka with Cultura Immanuel and of Violetta et al. in China Opera Tournee with Orchestra Abruzzese.
Miss Rasmussen performed the roles of Mimi, Tosca, Cio-Cio-San, Rusálka (in parts) throughout Opera houses in China with Orchestra Abruzzese and Maestro Ovidio Baran in 2018/2019 Winter season. 2017 she had the honor to embody the main acting/singing role of Brünnhilde/Walküre in „Glut“, written by Albert Ostermeier, with the Director: Nuran David Calis at the Wagner Festival Nibelungen Festspiele in Worms, Germany. She also sang in opening season of the renown Elbphilarmonie in Hamburg and as the main soloist at the International Opern-Air Concert in Bensheim, Germany 2017.
During the 2017/2018 season, Venicia was invited to sing on a world tour as a Opera and Crossover - Singer, Actress and Dancer on Meinschiff 1, throughout Asia and the Orient, where she was also responsible for creating the programm.
She had the honor to performed in Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano (Rome), in Basilica di San Marco (Venezia) on Easter, and the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore (Florence) in 2000.
Venicia received her Master’s degree in Opera with honors at the Karlsruhe Conservatory for Music with Professor Christiane Libor and Julia Varady Fischer Dieskau in 2017. In 2013, she graduated with her Bachelor of Music in Opera/Vocal Performance Degree, and her second Bachelor degree of Vocal Pedagogy and Chamber Music (magna cum laude) at the Conservatory in Karlsruhe.
While studying, she was a scholar i.a. of the international Organization Yehudi Menuhin ́s Stiftung „Live music Now“ and sang with her Baroque / Jazz trio throughout France and Germany. She was also a scholar of Richard Wagner Verband Pforzheim Baden Baden, Heinrich Hertz Stiftung and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
In Winter 2015/2016, she interpreted seductively and brilliantly the role of Poppea in Monteverdi ́s “L ́incornazione di Poppea” with conductor Howard Arman, at the Karlsruhe Conservatory for Music.
Venicia has also performed the roles of Susanna in Mozart ́s
“Le Nozze de Figaro” (2014), the Cat in the children’s Opera of “The Puss in Boots” 2012 in Karlsruhe, the Taumann/Sandmann in “Hänsel and Gretel” (2011), and the role of Amour in “Orpheus und Euridike” (2010) in Karlsruhe.
Miss Rasmussen is an avid Pop, Musical/Operetta Singer at events like „Music to go in Karlsruhe“ and “International Oldtimers Show” with Rolls Royce in Baden - Baden from 2014-2018.
Next to her professional singing she is pursuing her deep passion for music in teaching Pop to classical singing, acting, performance and music theory. Since 2009 she has taught as a singing tutor in her Conservatory and in more than eight music schools throughout Germany and as a private vocal teacher in Los Angeles. She is a dedicated mentor to her students and has established a private vocal studio in Germany with an excellent reputation. Her magnificent lyric coloratura voice with dramatic tones of a future spinto soprano is so uniquely faceted and flexible. She captivates with her outstanding stage presence and passion to master any challenging musical and stage opportunity. Ms. Rasmussen has an impeccable voice placement with an exciting range; from effortless low registers, warm nuances and impressive bright, and rich coloratura tones, which remain at a higher volume at the top in a pleasant timbre.
